Lakhta Center is a large non-residential, mixed-use construction project in St. Petersburg, Russia. Lakhta Center is the city’s first tall skyscraper. It is planned to be built to include a science and education complex, sports and activity facilities and an open-air amphitheater. The 462-meter-high main tower of Lakhta Center, whose construction was completed in 2018, became the tallest building in Russia and Europe. Additionally, Lakhta Center is the northernmost skyscraper in the world due to its location.[7][8] Among all the buildings, Lakhta Center became the 2nd tallest structure in Europe after the Ostankino Tower (540 m) according to its height.
